I am Veerle De Vos (VV, born 1962), a Belgian artist. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology and working in education as well as in the banking and insurance sector, I chose to change direction. During my first triathlon, a serious cycling accident brought everything to a sudden halt. What began as a physical setback became a personal turning point and led me onto a creative path that truly fits me today.

Joy is at the heart of my work. I create colourful, playful artworks that arise intuitively and are meant to feel light. Colour is an essential part of my visual language and contributes to the warm, positive atmosphere of my creations. My work aims above all to evoke a feeling: calm, softness and a moment of happiness.

My art is accessible and human. It is meant to be close, to brighten spaces and to make everyday life just a little warmer.

My works have been shown in the television programme Het Huis and can be found, among other places, at the SHA Wellness Clinic in Albir, Hof ter Saksen in Beveren, the Erps-Kwerps residential care centre, as well as in many private homes, gardens and terraces.
